Chinese Military Parade - The largest military force in the World

The People's Liberation Army is the world's largest military force, with approximately 3 million members, and has the world's largest (active) standing army, with approximately 2.25 million members. The PLA comprises five main service branches, consisting of the PLA Ground Force, PLA Navy (PLAN), PLA Air Force (PLAAF), Second Artillery Corps (strategic missile force), and the PLA Reserve Force.

Russian Army Parade Victory Day, 2013

This is the parade in Moscow's Red Square, devoted to the 68th anniversary of the Great Victory over Nazi Germany in the Great Patriotic War (what the Eastern Front of World War II is called in the former Soviet Union), 9 May, 2013. Giving the commemoration speech is Russian President Vladimir Putin. For the first time since 2008 the Suvorov and Nakhimov schools are once again marching past Red Square (The Suvorov cadets are also wearing their new uniforms cut in the same style of Russian Officers and Soldiers first introduced in 2008). Also being introduced this year is a Cossack regiment. Presiding over the military parade in Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation; General of the Army Sergei Shoigu. He is the first uniformed defense minister since the year 2000. Commanding the parade is Colonel General Vladimir Chirkin. Music by the Military Orchestra Service of the Russian Federation, directed by Lieutenant General; Valery Khalilov.
