Growing Up In A Very Religious Family, Katy Was Limited When It Came To Watching Tv And Listening To Music. She Told Entertainment Weekly, "the Only Things I Was Allowed To Listen To Were The Sister Act 1 And 2 Soundtracks." At Age 13, She Learned To Play Guitar And Began Singing Contemporary Christian Music. During This Time, She Rebelled Against Her Strict Upbringing And Decided To Pierce Her Own Nose.
