The "Japanese Nocturne" comes from the 'Oriental Impressions' Suite by Henry Eichhiem (1870-1942) and is representative of the kind of Eastern Music which so fascinated Stokowski in the 1920s. This recording was made in 1929 and reissued on CD by Cala Records along with other rarely-heard compositions of the time.
