A gorgeous sonata for piano and cello by German composer, organist and pianist Camillo Schumann (1872-1946). This complex, large-scale chamber work owes a great deal to Schumann's idol Johannes Brahms, who completed his own second cello sonata (also Opus 99) nearly half a century earlier.
Cello: Maria Kliegel
Piano: Francesco Piemontesi
